Description of 1993 Porsche 968 |
Hello, I am selling my 1993 Porsche 968 coupe. I consider it a running and driving project car. I purchased the car in 2011 and I did a few odds and ends with maintenance - changed all fluids, performed full belt and roller service, new tires, and then I drove it from Michigan to Savannah GA, to the 2011 Porsche Parade. My plan was to restore the car over time, but I never really found the time - too many cars and too busy with work and life. It’s quite rare car with the M220 Limited Slip Differential option and M383 M387 Sport Seats. Recent oil change, a/c compressor, timing belt. I’m a long time PCA member and I own other Porsche cars. Exterior Color: Red Interior Color: Cashmere (tan) Miles: 162k Transmission: 6 Speed Manual Info I rec’d from the Porsche Club of America 968 Registry: #842 of 2,234 North American968coupes #193 of 6051993coupes 1 of 548 G1 Red coupes 1 of 208 G1 Red coupes paired with Black Cashmere interior 1 of 457 G1 Red coupes with a 6 speed Original base price, no options:$39,950 with $725 Destination charge Factory options include: LC partial leather black/cashmere (1 of 677), $682 220 Limited Slip (1 of 584), $913 231 17†tires (standard with cup 1 wheels) 331 AM/FM cassette radio (standard) 383 Sport seat left, $314 (1 of 154) 387 Sport seat right, $314 (1 of 154) 403 17" cup 1 wheels (1 of 381), $1,378 418 Body side moldings, $350 (1 of 335) 454 Cruise Control (standard) 650 Sunroof (standard) Total original MSRP was $44,626 It runs and drives fine and I would not hesitate to drive it home, but ideally you might want to trailer it. That being said, it has been sitting in my barn for 5+ years but I did change the oil, the timing belt and fix the a/c in April 2020. I did what I consider ‘the minimum’ to get it ready for the next buyer to get it home. Items to note: -I have not washed it in 5+ years -Faded paint; its always been like this since I purchased it (with 157k miles). -A few dings and dents throughout -Cruise control does not work; does not hold the speed -Drivers side top of door (black part) has a hole (black tape over it now) -Driver side seat has a hole -Passenger side sun visor clip broken I’m including these new parts, all from Porsche: -Oil filter -Door handle rubber -Door mirror rubber -Brake sensors Many more photos on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/gp/metalcutsmegan/mHJ5Fp Feel free to contact me with any questions. |
