Description of 1979 Porsche 928

This 1979 Porsche 928 is finished in black over Cork leather and has been modified with a period Strosek-style body kit. Power is from a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a rear-mounted five-speed manual transmission, and the timing belt was last changed in August 2014. Service records dating to 1992 and a clean NJtitle on my name.The body kit was installed in the early 1980s, and features fender flares and side skirts with air inlets in front of the rear tires. Hood an fenders are made ofaluminium.A rear wing is mounted to the hatch, and other features include lidded pop-up headlights with driving lamps beneath. Multi-piece 16â€³ BBS wheels feature gold centers with polished lips and are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle ZR55 tires sized 225/55 all around.The interior is trimmed in Cork leather with matching door panels, carpeting, and trim as well as a black carpeted dashboard cover with an embroidered Porsche crest. The car is equipped with air conditioning, power windows, a clock, and an aftermarket Sony cassette stereo, but does not have a sunroof. Instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a six-digit odometer showing just over 49k miles.The 4.5-liter V8 was factory-rated at 219 horsepower with 245 lb-ft of torque when new, and powers the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a dogleg first gear.
The car is mechanically sound. It starts, runs and drives well. Engine sounds good and transmission shifts well. Clutch is good. Paint is in good shape for its age. It has scratches, chips and some flakes but nothing usual for its age. Floors are very solid. No visible rust. Interior is in good shape for its age. Front seats are a bit dry and cracked due to age. Rear seats, door panels are great. Dash has cover. Brakes and suspension are great. AC works but needs recharge. BBS Wheels are in nice shape. All major electrical components and gauges work. Lights do work but one side does not close properly. Clean title.
