Description of 1982 Porsche 928

Link to videos below. Up for sale is a nice 1982 Porsche 928 in Guards Red over tan leather interior. Car is in good shape overall It runs and drives well, does not smoke and shifts well through all gears. Recent service in the last 1000 miles includes timing belt and water pump, A/C service to R-134A, new belts and rebuilt alternator. Newer tires on 18" 996 Carrera wheels. Original wheels with new tires also included. I will do my best to describe any issues with the car but if you have specific questions please message me directly. .Electronic/Power features: Windows - Functioning properly. Power Seats - Functioning properly. Sunroof - Functioning properly. A/C - Functioning properly (blows really cold) Heat - Functioning properly. Radio - Functioning properly (original speakers so 1982 sound quality). Door locks - Lock fine manually but power lock feature doesn't function properly. Windshield Wipers - Functioning properly through all speeds. Windshield washer spray - Functioning properly. Headlamps - Functioning properly. Headlamp washer - Functioning properly. Rear Wiper - Motor working but mechanism isn't moving blade. Fog Lights - Functioning properly. Brake/Parking Lights - Functioning properly. Interior lights excluding pod lights - Functioning properly. Pod Lights - Illuminated backlights not working behind speedo or tach; however all emergency lights/indicator work fine. Rear Defroster - Functioning properly. Power mirrors - Passenger side functions properly/Driver side does not but can be manually adjusted. Interior-Leather is in good condition overall with normal wear in some spots. No large cracks or tears in seats. Some trim pieces are loose and need to be re-attached (Passenger door around window coming loose/door cards need some tightening but all attached) Dash - Good condition with minimal warping (some surface scratching and one spot where leather is loose above glove compartment door) Glovebox Door - Good condition with minimal warping/distortion. Pod - Adjusts fine with a couple of cracks in plastic. Center console - Good condition (Normal wear for age) Headliner/Sunroof trim - Good condition no sagging or missing trim. Rear hatch area carpet - Good condition for age (Lining on bottom is dry rotted and cracked but overall carpet and rear trim is good. Battery area is good. Spare tire - Present and in original condition. Tool Kit - There is a tool kit present but not sure if it is complete. No manuals present. Exterior -Paint is what you would expect for being original aside from a few defects. Would say it is a 10 footer. Seen a lot worse but could be better. Some minor scratches and chips. Rear driver quarter panel has scuff which scraped and chipped the paint so it will need to be fixed. Both front fenders were rubbing from the current wheels and was taken to body shop to have them rolled. Body shop didn't realize they were aluminum fenders and caused the paint to chip and caused creasing the lip of both sides. (shown in pics) They will need attention as well. I was planning on a full respray eventually but have decided to sell to help fund the purchase of a home. Mechanical - Engine starts up and runs well. No smoke at start up or accelerating. Car charges properly (Alternator recently rebuilt), Accelerates strong and cruises really nicely. Magnaflow exhaust gives the V8 a nice deep rumble. I drive the car about 15 miles each way to and from work a few times a week. Car performs well but I have noticed in the months of July/August the temp creeps up a little when sitting in traffic. Hasn't come close to going over the top white line but it is worth mentioning. Could be the thermostat or the clutch in the cooling fan but I haven't had the time to look into it. Oil pan gasket needs to be replaced and leaks. Cork gasket included but I would opt for the Silicone one. I was going to change the motor mounts as well when having the service completed but will leave that to the new owner as well. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge. Please let me know if you have any questions before the end of the auction. Inspections are welcomed at buyers expense. Car is sold as is where is. No warranty is expressed or implied. On Aug-13-20 at 11:32:54 PDT, seller added the following information:
