Description of 1976 Porsche 911 |
This is a rare 1976 Daphna "Apple" Green 911S.On the range of rarity, this is one of the rarest colors that Porsche painted 911/912e's in. I have seen one 911s coupe, one 911sc coupe, and one 912e in this color, online, that's it. Search for the color and you'll see what I mean. The color code plate is in photo gallery. The color is a 5/5 for rarity known as a "unicorn color." It's Rarer than Continental Orange! According to the former owner, this came from the Philadelphia area when he bought it many years ago. He disassembled the engine and took most of the parts off the car in preparation for a new paint job in the original color. He had the car painted over 5 years ago and started on reassembly, but life got in the way, and it sat in the corner of his wood shop, covered in a 2 mm thickness of saw dust! See Photo! The engine number is 6569049. The car sported a sportomatic transmission when built and a camel interior. I have to believe this was a special order car, but that is lost to the annals of Porsche history.I just ran my 1977 continental orange 911s coupe on ebay last week because I am financing a home or else I would not even consider selling this rare "skittles" colored Porsche. All parts for the car that I have go with the car. Most everything if not everything is there. Used Engine seals were disposed of, but all the nuts, bolts, screws, old body seals, engine, transmission, interior components are included. I have a fuel tank to include (not shown). See photos of parts. If you have a specific question about car or part, please let me know before the day the auction ends. There may be a vw part blower that got into the photo, that I'll keep. Note: The car has it's center trunk blower motor. This car would make a great candidate for EV conversion while saving the original components for posterity or just assembly and show car in museum! If you cannot pickup car yourself, I can put parts in bins/crates at your expense. Tires hold air. Car rolls and steers. Zelle (no fees) deposit of $1000 due upon auction end or international people can use paypal (+5% fee) or wire (+$15). Balance is due within 3 days via domestic or international wire. All incoming fees will be added to the end price. Questions about condition/parts of car are to be asked before bidding. No questions should be saved for after auction end unless logistical regarding payment or pickup. I welcome in person inspection. No battery comes with car. Key is in ignition and has title (see redacted photo) for domestic or overseas buyer. See my 100% positive feedback. I also sell 356 911 912 914 & aircooled VW parts. This car and its parts must be collected in 4 weeks or storage of $30/day will begin to accrue and must be paid before car leaves. |
