Description of 1993 Porsche 968 |
|
This 1993 Porsche 968 is a great car with updates to the exterior, interior, and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 3 years and it runs great. The car has a clean title and a mileage of 91,480. It is not regularly driven and is in excellent condition. Vehicle Details The overall condition of my 1993 968 is Very Good to Excellent. The car and body has never been in any type of accident or crash, with the exception of someone rolled slowly into the rear bumper cover, butting a small gash in the abs plastic. The rear bumper cover was professionally replaced and painted by a professional body shop. This happened during the ownership of the previous owner. I have 44 years in Porsche repair and racing, and I put thus car on my lift to check it out thoroughly. There was ZERO damage done to anything beyond the bumper cover! The underside of the car looks very good and straight, and with zero leaks of any kind! The Car Fax gave a lower than normal report only because it's had seven owners, but this doesn't degrade the excellence of this car, and the reason I purchased it! Unfortunately, the three years I've owned it, I have only put around 150 miles on in due to back problems and surgery. Reason for sale... at 61 years old, it is difficult for me to get in and out of with my lower back situation. Everything is perfect on this car with the exception of the driver's upper door card has fading were it looks like maybe the previous owner set his arm on top or left the driver's glass down, and letting it fade in the sun? I'm really not sure, but it can be re-dyed back to original from what I am told. The other thing is dozens of tiny stone chips it the paint at front from the previous owner doing track days, and got chips from driving behind other cars. You really can't tell from a few feet away, as the paint looks really good and shiny, as seen in photos. Modifications: The car is 100% stock, with the exception of Leda coil-over threaded body shocks, beautiful massive custom sway bars, spherical bearing caster blocks, adjustable camber plates, mono ball rear control arm bushings, etc. It also have a beautifully installed 1-3/4" gloss black roll bar. Whoever installed it did a professional job! It has new race seats and six point harnesses. It also has had a factory limited slip installed not too long ago. The engine, transaxle, and exhaust are otherwise 100% stock. It did have a valve job, chain, belts, water pump around 10k back, as per records I have. Yes, thus is a mostly stock, street car, also ready for track days if so desired. The car also has newish 18x9 BBS LM front wheels, and brand new 18x10 BBS rear wheels. I installed new rear wheels because the previous owner had the rear offset wrong, and I ordered and installed the correct ET50 offset at rear with faster outer lips. The rear 285/30ZR18 rear tires are Aldo new. The front 245/35ZR18 are older, and should be replaced. The 91k miles is original and accurate! I have the good clear title in hand.
