1976 Porsche 911 S Targa Coupe Full Restoration! 1976 Porsche 911 S Targa Coupe This beautiful 1976 Porsche Targa has just been fully restored within the past few months. It runs great looks great with no problems found! From the previous owner: We believe we are the third owner of the Porsche. Our niece purchased the car about seventeen years ago. drove it in Seattle Washington area for several years before storing it in her garage for approximately three years. Our main objective was to retain as much of the original car as possible. The body was in very good condition with no rust. Using the VIN. we determined that the original color was a chocolate brown. not the red that it was currently painted. The paint shop stripped the car to the bare bones removing all the outside hardware. The original interior upholstery was a combination of vinyl and leather. We elected all beige leather for the seats. dash and side panels. The upholsterer did a fantastic job using the best quality leather. double stitching and copying the original seat tucking detail. All the carpets were replaced using authentic Porsche carpeting. The original mileage was over 240 thousand miles. The engine and transmission were rebuilt using the original block and casing. A high performance exhaust system and air box was added to increase the vehicle's horsepower. We also added air conditioning for the hot Las Vegas summers. All the hoses and seals were replaced. The original wheels. targa top. most of the dash controls and windows were retained with just minor cleaning. We replaced the radio. speedometer. clock and windshield. added a tire pressure monitor. and a security system. New electric side mirrors. tires. custom Porsche pedals and a MOMO steering wheel were installed.
