Description of 1967 Renault Other |
1967 Renault R 10 4 speed, disc brakes, 100 cc engine in the rear water cooled, he last of the rear engine Renault since their first post WW II car, he 4 cv. US market car, o a few changes in the lighting and interior from the euro models. I am listing the car for a friend who bought it in 2009 and used it sparingly before putting in storage .Low miles: 74713 and adding a few every week. Brand new brakes from top to bottom (new master cylinder, ebuilt calipers, rake hoses with silicon DOT 5 brake fluid). The body is good condition with some rust underneath but nothing structural, he dash is very nice, he seats are good except for splitting on the front driver side and some sun damage on the top of the rear seat. The drive train is excellent due to the low miles with a strong pulling engine and a smooth quiet transmission. The car runs and drives.it is used sporadically around the neighborhood but not much more, ever been on the freeway as the tires need to be replaced. It will need a proper restoration or improve as you drive.I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. Here are a few questions I could anticipate and could answer: Renault fans will notice that it is the early version of the R10 with the single master cylinder as the Euro version with the glass jar for the brake fluid and the 1100 CC engine. Will it make a cross country trip? An 42hp engine and bad tires, o I need to say more? Why is it sold? As previously stated, t is sold on behalf of a friend who has many vintage cars and is thinning the heard; he will not get to this one in a while and rather sell it to somebody could give it proper care What is the reserve? Bid up to what you feels the car is worth to you, t is the best way to enjoy the auction; sorry I will not divulge the reserve.
