Description of 1962 Replica/Kit Makes La Dawri Sebring

You are bidding on a 1962 La Dawri Sebring . It has a fiberglass body. tubular space frame chassis with a Volvo PV 544 drive train. This kit car was assembled in ’62 and has remained untouched. just as its first owner (now in his late 90’s) built it. This automobile is a true time capsule. It was last driven on the road in 1978 and will need a total restoration. The fiberglass body is stress crack free (it has a tiny chip on the side of the passenger bezel front light). the windshield is free of chips and the tubular chassis appears to be straight and solid with showing only normal surface rust. (I took a wired brush to a small section of the frame and it did clean up very well). This vehicle has been preserved in a dry storage since it was taken off the road. therefore the interior is remains pretty much intact (upholstered bucket seats included) which is quite rare to find in that sort of kit car. The motor (Volvo B16) is locked up and will need a complete overhaul. the valve cover. intake manifold. SU carbs and ramp as well as both air cleaner units are in a box (see pictures). The clutch and brake pedals are seized up but the car rolls freely. The original Michelin tires are shot but keep air except for one. This La Dawri comes with a weird looking hard top that seems to be fitted for it and a spare wheel in the trunk. The title and keys were lost at some point so it will be sold with a bill of sale (the car was registered in Pennsylvania all its life). The car shows 20161 miles on the clock.
