mercedes 450SL W107 with 454 Chevy Big Block Engine

1979 Mercedes 450SL W107 with a 454CID, 7.4L Big Block Chevy engine.

I purchased this as a project car and it "lot drives", but will need work and some fine tuning to get it on the road, I just have had enough with fighting to get it smogged in California, they will not give me a pass as the BAR so... off it goes to someone that does not have to contend with the smog restrictions we have here in California.

I went so far as to purchase a Mercedes 5.6L Euro 560 SEC engine but Just don't have the time to swap back to Smog and register it here, Engine is for sale in another auction, and I will throw in a Mercedes Auto Transmission if you take the 560 SEC engine with the car.

the 450SL is a sleek timeless convertible, also comes with the hard top, color matched. Soft top condition is unknown, I have never had it up. Paint is OK, a 'ten footer' as the car guys put it and currently will need compounding after sitting under my Eucalyptus tree. Also as part of the lot drives for the few times I took it down the street it will set off car alarms wile burbling at a crawl, Neighbors always appreciated this on my infrequent Sunday morning cruise. Currently steering will need to be looked at, a bolt came out of the steering wheel to shaft clamp and the wheel spins freely currently.
