Description of 1964 Replica/Kit Makes Cobra

What is for sale:For sale in this auction is a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289 Carbon Fiber body. cockpit tub. hood (there are actually two hoods). trunk. and door skins. This body was one of the first pulls from a mold we splashed off of an Kirkham 289 car. All of the components together. in total. weigh 90lb. This body will. of course. need to be accompanied by a chassis and spaceframe if it is to be used on a road/race car. You won't find a body more lightweight than this. however. The body isn't perfect and it will need some filler. but it is strong and lightweight. Here's the detailed breakdown of the weights of these components:Body. Hood. Trunk (and trunk pan). Premier Motorsports. was a replica car company with our own proprietary design/fabrication method of Cobra chassis. Our company engineered. built. and completed turn-key cars for customers. We made mostly fiberglass cars. but we used carbon on this body as a test of our latest mold we had made before the company shut down. It's a great body. and came out nicely. The company isn't operational anymore. however. and this body should go to someone who will use it. The fine print:While you won't have a problem using this body as part of your car and obtaining a builder/assembler's title. there isn't any documentation that will go with this body beyond the eBay transaction because it is just parts. not an actual car. This body is large enough that it will have to be shipped via freight or picked up in person. If you choose to pick it up you can. of course. pick it up from our facility in Kansas City. Kansas for no charge. We would be happy to help you load it. If you choose to ship it via freight that will be at your cost. I would be happy to arrange shipping and pickup for you. but the cost isn't covered in the auction. We will only sell/ship in the United States. and take either PayPal or cash in person.
