1965 AC Cobra Replica. The car was built by a builder in PA in 2009. I bought the car in 2010 with 600 miles on it and it has about 1700 miles on it now. Its a "1965" Factory Five Mk4 in mint condition. All components on the car were brand new when built - that includes engine. transmission. rear end. spindles. brakes. clutch. gauges. seats. interior. etc. and. well. the list goes on. Nothing is rebuilt or bought from a yard (the car DOES NOT have a salvage title and is registered in CT). The engine/transmission/clutch-("off the line" cam and monster clutch). rear axle assembly (3. 55 limited slip). front spindles and brake system are all from Ford Racing (as well as a bunch of other parts). I have receipts for proof on all major components. The engine is EFI - no tuning require. The car has 2 engine fans. One is a manual switch and the 2nd fan is controlled by the thermostat. There is a foot fan as well to keep your feet cool in the hot months. The car has been completely inspected at least 2 different times by my mechanic. The mechanic I use owns a car garage and builds custom race cars himself. I had different seats put in (black short back roadster seats) and there are some extra engine rearrangements I had my mechanic do. I have kept the original FF5 high back seats and can include them with the sale of the car if the price is right. I also have a box of extra odds and ends such as extra steering wheel and some chrome caps etc. The only issue I have ever had with this car is that there is a very small electrical leak somewhere that will drain the battery if the battery is left on over a period of time. There is a shut off switch for the battery so I usually keep it off. One of the cooling hoses slipped off as well and sprayed coolant around the engine compartment but no damage was done and I just replaced the whole coolant tube. Keep in mind. it is a kit car so no power steering or power braking. The cabin is a snug fit for me as I am 5'11 @ 205 lbs. The foot pedals run close together so I usually drive in socks or very slim driving shoes. For sale and located in New Britain.
