Description of 19750000 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow RHD sedan |
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1975 A gorgeous chrome bumper "old-girl" . This is a nice presenting Silver Shadow finished in 2 tone Caribbean blue over Silver Mink with Dove grey Connolly leather interior. Previously collector and enthusiast owned, his is a nice clean driver example that is fun to potter around in but PLEASE understand she is no show car. She is mechanically and operationally sound.Serviced regularly and well maintained by London, K Rolls-Royce agents; The Chelsea Workshop - right up until some 3,000 miles previously to 2002. It came to the US shortly after then. The body is reasonable straight but the paint is tired and showing some age. The sides of car present well as does the hood and roof with a decent shine but the top surface of the trunk lid, s pock marked and losing its shime. There are little scratches, arks and minor dings. The grey interior is the completely original Connolly leather and has never had any part replaced nor has it been dyed or "tarted" up. Although not brand new in appearance it does have a very lovely original patina about it that looks really nice. There are no tears, ips or heavy wear. Certainly, t shows the car has been well looked after in its 42 odd years. The wood was redone by someone and although looks decent at a glance, as not very well finished off. Its deficiency is that it needs more coats of clear and then systmetically wetsanded to achieve the flat finish that is synonymous with Rolls-Royce wood finishes. If interested, e can "complete" the job for you. The original Wilton wool carpets are very good as its the dash and console sections. The original headliner, inished in an Everflex product for all European delivered Rolls-Roycs is literally like new. The trunk is clean and tidy also with its original factory carpet. The car was recently inspected by a leading local Rolls-Royce restorer and it shaped up very well. Brakes have all been done and some other minor mechanical items attended to. The air conditioning needs recharging but should wait until the car is sold (before going into regular use). It is currently in storage and not driven so the A/C will be completed by the RR shop for the winning buyer before it gets shipped. This is at no charge even if it is more than just a re-gas. Under the hood, he presents clean and orgnaised. Overall a nice looking car in very original condition. Not a show car but a nice 6 or 7-out-of-10 driver quality example. I think with little extra effort in the paint and interior wood, t could be brought to a 9-out-of-10. It has its original jack and hand-book.The correct size 225/7/15 tyres have plenty of tread and in good usable condition. We think whitewalls would look better. Many more photographs are available at the following link. Click HERE to see additional photos!
