Description of 1964 Rolls-Royce Other Silver Cloud III |
I bought this car in 1992 as a good driver. It has been sitting until a year ago when I decided to give it a cosmetic redo and got everything the way I wanted it. I am now ready to sell it. This isa great car mechanically and runs good. If you are looking for a classic Rolls you should know that it is very costly to bring an average looking car back to the way it should look. Because of this I am listing what I have done to the car and I can assure you it has cost a lot of money to get this far. 1. Mechanics: This car runs great and I have tuned it and changed fluids. The electric windows were gone thru including new rubber mounts, ew chains on 3 of the windows and a new motor on the 4th window. 2. Body: I stripped the car to bare metal and repaired any dings or problems that needed attention before paint. It was a very solid car to start with. 3. Rubber: All rubber seals were replaced. The 4 main tires are from Coker and have almost no miles on them at this time. Spare tire is used. 4. Chrome: Almost all of the chrome has been redone as you can see in the pictures. Stainless trim around the windows is original. 5. Upholstery: All leather is new. (Rolls type from Bill Hirsch) Door panels are new- not recovered or dyed but new. Interior carpet is new Rolls type wool. Trunk carpet is original type tweed. Headliner is suede which I preferred over mohair. There is not one piece of upholstery material in this car that is not new. 6. Wood: Every piece of decorative wood has been refinished by a professional wood man. This car has been converted to left hand drive. In the process more efficient brakes and power steering were added. If interested do the math. I am scared to. Any questions call George 404-252-4427. |
