The renowned Rolls-Royce ride quality may have been due to this Silver Shadow model which featured a high-pressure hydraulic self-leveling suspension system. The Silver Shadow went on to become Rolls-Royce's most popular and, subsequently, best-selling model. This very original 1976 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a fine example of a well-kept car that has been regularly driven. The car has been fully inspected and serviced by a Rolls Royce dealership. A lot of time and money was spent on this car so that it runs and drives like it did when it first left the factory. It is a real treat to drive and gets a ton of attention everywhere it goes. I've driven over 120 miles in one day and it drove spectacular, with absolutely no problems. This elegant motorcar is finished in Walnut Brown with a Beige Hide interior. It comes with its original books and tools. This Rolls-Royce has been very well cared for, and has a distinctively original appearance.The body on this car is very, very straight and completely accident free. The paint is original and presents very nicely although it does show a few signs of use. A nice buff and wax would have the exterior looking like new. The chrome is in amazing condition and really shines with no pitting or rust at all. The interior of the car is in very original condition and looks great, although the two front seats have quite a bit of wear and could use some freshening up. All the wood on the doors, window surrounds, console and the vanity mirrors are original and in amazingly good condition. Original wood is in this condition is rarely seen today. The headliner is in amazingly excellent condition. This Rolls even has its original rear foot-rests. This car is equipped with power seats, windows, locks, power steering, the original 8-track player, radio and factory air conditioning. The turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, and head lights are all working and completely functional The Silver Shadow was a big step forward for the Rolls Royce. It was the first model to use monocoque construction disc brakes and independent rear suspension. This 1976 model is powered by the famous Six and Three-Quarter (6.75L) Rolls Royce V8 engine. A fact that surprises many is that Rolls Royce utilized the GM Turbo 350 3-Speed automatic transmissions to back up their mighty V8 engines.
