1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II Open the door, and step into an interior that cocoons you from the outside world. Breathe in the best of British coach building, Wilton carpeting, Connolly hide and burl walnut veneers, painstakingly attended to during the 8 month build process. The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II with its elongated passenger compartment, surrounds its owner with luxury reserved for only the few, who live life to the fullest, and reap the rewards of their success. This ultra-luxury vehicle, has been well maintained with documented service records, run several days a week as a local commuter, and has been well received at numerous automobile events. The car's provenance is on record with the International Rolls-Royce Foundation in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. An iconic automobile, typically seen on television, or on the silver screen, it holds a current inspection, so it can be test driven, anytime, anywhere. Exterior Sage green paint covers the exterior and a dark green Everflex vinyl top. Hand painted dark green pin striping parallels a chrome side trim piece and runs the length of the coach each side. The bonnet, boot, and door skins are aluminum to save weight. Dual round side by side headlights are in an oval field of gleaming chrome, and mirror each other next to an iconic radiator grille, which is hand made, and polished for 5 hours to perfection prior to be assembled on the vehicle. The grille is topped by a sprung anti-theft Spirit of Ecstasy ornament in silver. Below her, is an interlinked RR logo. On both windshield A pillars there has been some evident repair bodywork, as well as very slight cracking of paint on driver's fender near A pillar. Paint is in excellent condition and appears to be a very exacting color match repaint. Interior Hand stitched green leather wide bucket style seats in front, and a spacious leather bench seat with a center console stretches the width of the back passenger compartment. Cinnamon carpeting provides an interesting contrast to the green leather. Side door panels have a combination of walnut burl veneer, green leather, and cinnamon carpeting, and include controls for windows and locks. A leather front console has seating position joystick controls, and storage for cassette music. The beautiful walnut burl dash has a dizzying array of warning lights, essential gauges, an AM/FM stereo, and a separate cassette player. A beautiful black steering wheel perched in front of the instrument cluster and dash will make any chauffeur proud. Drivetrain Rolls-Royce's well tried 6.7-liter V8 engine with (2) SU carburetors with upgraded air conditioning system and larger radiator, allows the car to idle smoothly and keep the passengers cool with no engine overheating. A new front steering system has been installed and you can be assured to be whisked by your chauffeur down any surface road, without spilling your drink with the Citroen hydro-pneumatic rear suspension. Documentation and Extras A complete history of the work done on this vehicle is included in an extra folder. A chauffeur hat, and large jar of Grey Poupon Mustard (tongue-in-cheek) and a complete picnic basket as well as some extra photos are included. The spirit of ecstasy and the double R set the standard, the saloon for the patrician, in true 1980's British style. A hand-built automobile is reserved for the very few, and a classic for even fewer.
