I've got to sell my 1985 Saab 900 Turbo that I've had for 3 years ONLY because I inherited my grandfather's BMW and can't take care of two cars, therwise I would keep this car til I die: Its got about 280xxx miles Runs great for its age & is really FAST. Really great on the highway Beautiful cosmetically, o dents, cratches, tc. Never been in even a slight accident All black paint, ims, ouvers 2 door, atchback with a large trunk, 3 door) Back window has louvers. Radio, unroof, eat warmers, ower windows and locks automatic 3 speed transmission (Saabs only have 3) more GOOD things: -UPDATE as of 2/24/16 new water pump, oolant reservoir, lternator belts, ust paid $600 for repairs -New spark plugs, ires, uel lines, arious hoses 11/2014 -2 new tires 11/15 -new brakes 9/14 -new turbo 11/14 -new battery 11/15 -new starter 12/15 -new exhaust system 7/14- passes smog! -all lights, ower windows, eat, eat heaters, un roof work -frequent tune ups & oil changes -car has only lived in Washington & Oregon until recently, bought it in Portland and moved it to California, ever been in snow, alt, tc. -leather seats- back seats in pristine condition Not so good: -some oil leaks, y mechanic doesn't know the cause, oesn't pose a mechanical problem- you will need to top off oil every couple of weeks if driven daily -No power steering currently (reservoir has a hole and I didn't care to fix it, ut you can get a new one) -front seats (leather) pretty torn up- get some black seat covers ;) -hood has some rust spots where paint has come off. Please view photos carefully The car needs revving for a minute for cold starts, hich is a common issue for 85-86 900s Great for long trips (just took a 5 hour trip both ways, o problem) Great for daily driving Most people ask me if it is hard finding parts for my 80's Saabs (I've had 2) and I have never had a problem. There have been times where my mechanics had to make things work, ut I got a new turbo and all the other parts I've recently installed easily. This car is amazing, nd drives great. I love this car very dearly. Take care of it! |
