1971 Saab Sonett III project needs restoration. The car is not driveable. I used to drive one years ago, fun little car. With total production in 1971: 1,265, A total of 8,351 Sonett IIIs 1970-74 The car needs restoration. Mechanically the car is fairly solid. V4 engine, 5 speed trans FWD. The engine runs, but needs fuel pump and tank cleaned. I Cleaned the carb and it fires right up with external fuel source. Brakes and clutch hydraulics need to be thoroughly gone over from sitting. Brake and clutch pedal go to the floor, rebuild kits are available. It needs some minor parts, tail light, tach, front rubber bumper, horn button. Most mechanical parts interchange with Saab 95 or 96. The trunk and floor pan look solid. There is a rust hole behind the drivers wheel and some rust on the rockers, see photos. The interior is fair, it could use a headliner. Overall the car should not take much to be a driver. Reasonable offers considered. All vehicles are sold as-is.
