Description of 1994 Saab 900 |
1994 Saab 900 Turbo SE 5 Speed Manual White w/ Black Leather Interior & Sunroof It's time for my sweet love bug to find a home with someone who has time for her. Originally bought from my mechanic Dad in NH 3 years ago, lil Sobby Dobby has seen repairs large and small over the years and now she's in need of clutch work. For months, it was VERY difficult to get it into reverse. Now it's difficult to get it into most gears from full stop (clutch doesn't disengage fully). Pops says it needs a new clutch. Blows hot heat and cool air (after a charge). Power everything, including a sunroof and heated seats. Air conditioning will need a charge for the season (I use a kit that costs about $20 at Walmart), since the ac is just "cool" right now. If you're mechanically inclined or are able to wait the weeks it can take to get it into a Saab specialty shop, it would be a great car with lot of life left in it. I purchased a new car last year, so it's been sitting with a few trips around the block here and there. Took it for a spin a few days ago and it's nearly impossible to shift into gear, so I would tow it home instead of pushing the clutch and damaging the syncros. Disc brakes have a little surface rust from sitting and not being able to drive around as much, but once you get the clutch fixed, that wears off instantly after a nice drive. The clutch cable snapped last year, so the new one has maybe 100 miles on it. Engine is strong and purrs like a kitten! Turbo works perfectly and is so much fun to drive. 6 disc changer in the trunk. These cars are built to go up to 400,000 miles or more. I had one when I was a teenager and got 550,000 miles on it before the body rusted out. It's a New England car originally, so it does have some rust on the exterior (see pictures). |
