Description of 1965 Shelby

1965 Shelby cobra replica, verett Morrison frame and body, titled as 1985 assembled car, whats old--the car itself is 30 years old but in storage for past 10 years---engine is 351 Cleveland from 1970 mustang started life with around 275 horsepower and was built up with 10.67-1 pistons, new rings,.562 high lift cam (lunati camshaft) and new rocker arms, edelbrock intake, holley 4 barrel carb that is brand ne, 3 inch long tube headers with side pipes and heat shields-----------,horsepower is now estimated at 325 (but car weighs in at about 2,300 pounds) that kind of power in a 3,600 pound car reacts quite differently in a 2,300 pound car,1,000 amp optima battery new, fuel pump new, alternator new, brakes new, automatic transmission, full competition seat harnesses, front end is mustang II as in many built cars and has ne control arm bushings, new tire up front (less than 300 miles) large coil spring over shocks and long control arms, disc brakes(1,500 miles ago)-rear suspension is shocks with coil springs, leaf springs, long traction/stabilizer arms and drum brakes (less than 2,000 miles) rear tires are 80% tread, paint looks great from 10 feet away and is driver quality not show quality..interior is still decent looking, stewart warner gages all work,(fuel float arm needs adjustment) starts easy, drives well--needs front end alignment only--when I got the new tires on 12,27,15 tire kingdom could not put this car on their old style alignment rack--I may or may not have time to get this done prior to sale date, alignment rack must be new style without hump in the front as car sits very low to the ground..mileage since built is around 10,000 give or take a little as I am still driving the car, radiator was also recored 3 months ago and has 2 push and I pull electric thermostatically controlled fan system on radiator, also throttle cable system is new due to new carburetor, battery is mounted in the trunk where it belongs and has quick disconnect, turn signals work, horn works, wiper works, partially rewired 3 months ago as well--just needs a new home--im almost 70 yearsold so I haven't been beating up the car..just crusing in it--under carriage is rust free--i reccomend ship your car now (ron bronson)--also car has cockpit and full covers--this is not a boss 351 motor as baged on valve covers but a stock 351 built up to get near boss specs---brakes are manual brakes and stop the car but i would add a small power booster if i were keeping the car as it takes a strong leg to lock up the brakes and im close to 70 years old and like power brakes---its not a necessity just something if an older person like myself bought it i would do...i think i have covered about everything here--Happy Bidding--there are full harness seat belts that cant be seen--the top part of the harness was put behind the seats--these are crow full competition racing harnesses--driving on the street we havent been using the top part of the harness (engine was rebuilt less than 4,000 miles ago--i forgot to mention that))sounds like a big block--very throaty-(((-(this is the antidote for sitting with the wife and watching say yes to the dress))))start bid just lowered--wheels are 16 inch halibrand replica wheels----,spark plug wires are MSD,--THERE ARE A LOT OF HORSEPOWER UPGRADE KITS FOR THIS SNGINE ON EBAY--FOR A COUPLE GRAND YOU GET GET 400 HORSEPOWER COOKING OUT OF A 351--THERE ARE KITS FOR 500+ HORSEPOWER AS WELL--power rack and pinion steering for those who are asking---upper steering joint is new as well (flaming river))joint
