Description of 1965 Shelby MKIII

I have owned this car since new. This is a factory built reproduction and is the only reproduction endorsed and licensed by Carroll Shelby!
The car was purchased new from Bob Olthoff of Olthoff Racing in 2001. The car was factory built and imported from South Africa complete (less the engine and transmission). Bob installed my engine of choice (a 392 crate engine) which was replaced in 2013 with a stroker motor built by NASCAR engine builder George Gable. The new motor makes in excess of 500 HP and 500 Ft Lbs of torque, hese are George's estimates as his dyno module was down when the engine was completed. Purchasers are welcome to contact George for verification.
This car has been pampered it's entire life. It has never been driven in the rain and still has the original tires! I am the only person to drive the car and am slightly north of 60. I can assure you, t has never been abused!! The pictures which show the car in racing livery were taken when the car was shown at a SAAC event. The decals are static cling and can be removed without leaving any residue.
The car has several options including:Jordan shifter as well as original factory shifterWooden wheel as well as a leather wheelSuperformance floormatsSuperformance car coverConvertible top, ide windows as well as tonneau coverSide glass windows
I am more than happy to discuss the car at any time. Prospective purchasers may contact me at 704-905-8068. Car was just state inspected and was serviced less than 1000 miles ago by Olthoff Racing.
Please Note: This car has a clear NC Title and is shown as a 2001 model year. EBay cannot recognize the vin number as a 2001.
Do NOT confuse this vehicle with Factory 5 or other replicas. In Carroll Shelby's own words:
"There's an exception when it comes to Jimmy Price and Lance Stander. Superformance International makes replica Cobras in South Africa and calls the two-seat roadster they build the MKIII. It's not a true Shelby, ut I've endorsed and licensed the car for being as close to correct and well-built as possible."
