Description of 1968 Shelby Cobra GT 500

1968 Shelby Cobra GT 500 Fastback

Car has won awards at local car shows. Original/period correct 428 motor being fully rebuilt, motor in car is original 65' Shelby AC Cobra 427 Side oiler with Dual Quads. Purchase includes cache of Ford/Shelby parts including a Shelby 67' 428 Short block.


This car is special and comes with an even more special 427 engine in addition to the 428.Motor in car is a true 427 center oiler with dual quads from an original 1965 Shelby AC Cobra 427 CSX3106. This Shelby AC Cobra ran of a mountain pass in Aspen, CO in January 1967 and the car landed on a rock where it broke in two. Motor and Car were salvaged and separated.
