Description of 1968 Shelby GT350 |
Up for sale is a rare remaining original 1968 Shelby GT350. This car contains most of its original paint*. all original interior. and original drive train. Wins every Survivor Class ever entered! Perfect candidate for a national Survivor Certification. More importantly. it contains all original fiberglass and the original Shelby tags still affixed to the appropriate panels. This car has been featured in Mustang Monthly a number of years ago as one of the last remaining unrestored GT350s. I have owned the car for 3 years. and it is in the Shelby Registry under the prior owner before me. Most of its life the car resided in Arizona - thus the faded paint and absolutely rust free condition. Original AO Smith paint markings still visible. as well as the red oxide overspray under the car. Interior is in fantastic condition and possesses the rare option of high-back back seats and air conditioning. Aftermarket stereo. headers. valve covers are in place. I have the original stereo and valve covers and will be including them with the car. Featured in Mustang Monthly Magazine. *In one of the photos you will notice the drivers side door inner jam contains lime green metallic paint. This door may have been replaced at one time. but I nor the prior owner are aware of when or why. There are no overspray. or paint differences between this door and rest of car - which is for sure all original. Car runs fantastic. leaks nothing. and is a perfect driver. Acquiring this car will allow you to either proceed with the easiest restoration imaginable or holding it the way it is and watching the survivor values continue to rise. Selling for no other reason than I have enjoyed the car greatly for the past three years. and just feel like its time to move on to another adventure. Deluxe Marti Report in hand. |
