I purchased this 1976 Avanti II (RQB-2427) from the son of the previous owner, ho passed away. The previous owner had put a lot of time and money into the car but it had been somewhat neglected after he passed. I bought the car and invested over $6000 in bringing it up to good mechanical and structural condition, nd then started working on the interior. I don't have the time anymore so I am hoping this great Avanti will go to a new home, here the owner can finishthe interior restoration and win sometrophies! The car is palladium silver with ruby red leather interior. The original color was contessa pewter metallic. The leather is in good condition for a 40 year old car. I had the bumper mount repaired (fiberglass work) by a well known classic Corvette restoration shop. The car originally had a sunroof, nd the previous owner had it filled in. It has the Saturn air deflector already installed, oo.The body is in good condition. The previous owner's son had a respray done. There some imperfections in the paint that could be worked out. I had all of the surface rust removed from the underside of the car and repaired the sections of the car that are typically affected by rust. The hogtroughs have been repaired. All of the chrome is in excellent condition.I purchased all new overlays for the interior. They are black anodized aluminum overlays for the 25th Anniversary Avanti. I purchased them brand new from Nostalgic Motors. All you need to do is install the gauge overlay and the stereo overlay, nd the dash will look fantastic. I also installed a vintage Nardi steering wheel, nd the original Avanti wheel is included if you want it.Thecustom exhaust sounds fantastic. Give it a listen (the tachneedle sticks when the car hasn't been started in a while; a quick tap fixes it):Here's a demo of the electrical system working great. Horn, ash lights, ead lights, nd console lights all work. This car will give you years of enjoyment. Finish up the interior and you will be set. I get lots and lots of attention when I drive it. It is a sure hit at your local car show. The build sheet (included) shows that the original owner was Michael Pritzker, somewhat famous person in the Chicago area. All of the restoration work was done by Kirkland Classic Cars in Kirkland, ashington. I will include the receipts. The work performed was:-Turner disc brake conversion-New brake lines-New brake hoses-Rust removal-Reroute the power steering lines away from the exhaust-New power steering hoses-Cut and reweld driver's side exhaust to clear the frame and power steering-Repair the front bumper mounts (including fiberglass work)-New carburetor-Replace bushings on lower control arms-Clean and reweld the frame where front springs go throughA $500 deposit is required at the end of auction andfull payment must be made within 7 days.
