Description of 1955 Studebaker Commander

This is a late 1955 Studebaker sedan with the wraparound windshield. It has the very desirable Coraltone Pink and Black color scheme. The car was repainted two years ago. It runs and drives good. The car was professionally converted to 12 volts. Most of the stainless mouldings have been polished. The wide whites are in fair condition. The interior is original but in need of attention as would be expected in a 60 year old vehicle. The taillight housings were replaced with NOS parts on both sides. The fog lights were bolted to the front bumper and gives the car a beautiful look however I did not hook them up so they are not operative. All other lights including turn signals, eadlights, nd interior dome light all operate. The dash gauges function however the gas gauge is not accurate and the temperature gauge needs a new sender. The radio delete plate on the dash is an NOS unit. The master cylinder was replaced a year ago. Thecarburetor was rebuilt two years ago. The ignition switch was also replaced a few months ago. The car also has an electric priming fuel pump for ease of starting. The car has some rust in one corner of the hood, small hole in the spare tire well, nd under the battery tray. The car was used in the filming of the TV show Magic City. This is a good inexpensive classic for the hobbyist on a budget or a fun family car. Buyer is responsible for shipping of vehicle.
