Description of 1950 Studebaker |
Once in a lifetime barn find! Plenty of petina that only a Colorado truck could offer. This 99% original Studebaker is the perfect starting point for a restoration, ot rod, at rod or resto mod build. Rust sure, ust thru, o! This truck has the perfect amount of rust. The cab is in fantastic shape, oors operate the way they should, ll the gauges are intact, iring ect. My plans were for a tube chassis and some serious HP but honestly this is too nice of a truck to go any other direction besides restoration in my opinion. Colorado truck for most of its life if not all of it. Ft. Collins and then to Steamboat Springs where it was saved from a farm. Originally Gray with brown interior and red wheels with pin stripes this is a truly hard to find beast. Ran when stored and taken off the road. Last plate shows 1997 tag. Truck has a rebuilt battery and a some new plugs. I started to dig into this project and haven't had the time to designate to it like I would have hoped so my loss and your gain. Wiring seems fully intact minus the starter wire(still needs to be redone ultimately.) Lights work, otor turns over by hand or by power but doesn't want to kick. I do not have the keys so that might have something to do with it. Clean Colorado title in hand 170CI Inline 6 cylinder 3 on the tree w/overdrive I believe Regular Cab SHORT BOX Step Side Original Chrome bumpers Cab Visor included 99% original - Missing hood emblems, river window is lexan, teering wheel center emblem, nterior door arm rests and one interior handle is not original. Heater, lock heater and dual battery bracket original seat recovered The only spot of rust thru is at the very front the of the bed and its not very much! The cab steps are in excellent condition, loor boards, ngine bay, ed are all in great shape. Truck does have dents and dings, lease see pictures, took pictures of all the little items. Nothing anyone wouldn't expect from a 66 year old truck or that would be easily fixed. Driver rear fender is the worst shape out of them all and the only one that may be cheaper/easier to replace but still fixable with a little more body/collision repair knowledge. Please feel free to send me your phone number and I would be happy to talk about the truck or simply send me an email! Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Thank you for looking. |
