This is a Custom 53 Studebaker that was originally built by a well crafted gentlemen out of Richmond Virginia, very talented builder and the car shows it. This was featured in April 2012 in Rod & Custom under readers rods. Here is what I know, started out with parts from a Studebaker Champion and built a custom chassis out of 2x3" tubing. This is very close to a race car chassis . This is registered as a Studebaker Convertible but built more like a Roadster Pickup. The back of it looks like he used a Tailgate from a Studebaker as it has the stamping. The doors do not open like a Model T . This is unique vehicle and you won't find another one. I am 6'2" and a little tall for driving it.1958 SBC 283 bored out to a 301Edlebrock Carb & Edlebrock Scorpion IntakeWilwood Disc Brakes All Four CornersCoilovers All Four CornersWide Five Hubs & WheelsFrankland Quick Change RearMickey Thompson TiresWoodward Rack & PinionAluminum Radiator & Electric FanPlease have your finances in order before biddingAny questions please let me know.. The last pic is of two extra sets of gears that come with it. This car also has a Detroit Locker in the rear. It has a few blemishes in the paint from driving it but still looks great. The paint is House of Colors Hot Rod Black Pearl.
