This is a beautiful example of a 1949 Studebaker Starlight Coupe, in Regal Deluxe trim. This is overall a great running, looking, and driving car. with wonderful body design and lines. This car has been well cared for after it was purchased from an automotive museum. The paint is period correct Glacier Green, and shows well. Almost all of the chrome, trim, and brightwork has been re-chromed or polished. The interior has been completely restored in period correct "reptile" pattern leather with cloth inserts and is in perfect condition. The flathead 6 cylinder engine has been rebuilt to factory specifications and runs "like a Champ". Its road manners are excellent with the steering, suspension and brakes being completely gone thru mechanically. This car is equipped with several period correct factory options. Such as rear fender wheel shields, Fender mounted park Lamp Spears, Grille set turn signals, and Window washers. Other options include rear side widow louvers/blinds, push button radio with dual speakers, dash mounted clock and dual heaters. It is equipped with an overdrive transmission that works flawlessly. All are factory options for the year 1949. This car is always covered and garaged, but often driven. There is also documentation to go with the vehicle, including shop and owners manuals. Also a large binder with history and associated receipts, spanning well over a decade. The car is taken to shows and cruises as often as possible. This is a wonderful car, but other interests, and time to spend enjoying the car force the sale. More photos will be sent on request.
