Everyone has a Chevy 3100 or Ford F100, but you can’t get in the door of Home Depot or pump gas without being surrounded with interested on-lookers for this rare Studebaker 1/2 ton short bed pickup. The Transtar was Studebaker’s top-of-the-line pickup whose main feature was it industry-leading cargo space (more bed space than any other 1957 pickup). Recently ranked in Hagerty's Top 25 HOTTEST collector vehicles.
Spent a majority of its life in California and has the original 259CI V8 2BBL 4.2L engine and transmission: 3-speed with overdrive. Runs amazing! This truck will cruise the highway with no problem at 65-70 mph. No rust and the underside is as pristine as the top side. A well-maintained restoration, this version’s distinct Studebaker styling features well finished two-tone paint with stunning two-tone interior.
