1952 Studebaker 2R5 ½ Ton Pick-up Truck Frame Off Restoration in 2001 (Has 296 miles since the restoration) Family owned for over 34 years 169.6 cu.in (85 HP) Flathead 6 with 3-speed transmission. Excellent condition Frame Off Restoration in 2001 with many new parts from Studebaker International (please note NO bondo body filler was used) Engine runs smooth Odometer was reset at time of restoration and reads 00296 (true mileage unknown) Transmission shifts nicely Rides and drives well Undercarriage is very nice with very little rust and has been undercoated All the glass is clean and clear Exterior color is Ford Green (shows well but has very few paint chips) Interior color is Ford Green with Ford light Green trim; seats are in maroon vinyl and cloth All the rubber looks great with just a few showing some cracking Polyester Firestone white wall tires 6 volt system Also has added turn signals Truck has an AM radio and not original to the truck but looks like it belongs there Also has a period correct vacuum dash fan (see photo) Chrome is very clean The truck bed is pitted The following work and parts were done prior to listing in order to get the truck back on the road: Brake hoses all around Front wheel cylinders Rear wheel cylinders Master cylinder Master cylinder junction Rear axle junction block New water pump New battery New muffler All the gauges work Clear title in owner's name Also comes with a indoor dust cover The history of the truck is: current owner is the daughter. Her father was an avid Studebaker collector and was in the Studebaker Drivers Club for many years. He passed away in 2001 and willed the truck to her. It was fully restored in 2001. She has decided to let the truck go so that someone else can give the truck the love and attention it deserves. |
