Description of 1986 Subaru BRAT AWD PICKUP TRUCK, NO RESERVE |
Here is your chance to own aSubaru AWD Brat Time Capsule Condition: Engine starts easily and runs well.No surprises found from brakes, steering or suspension. Shift through all gears easily as it should. Recent carburetor work and other tune ups put over $400 into and receipts are available. Included a new dealer installed battery, belts and alike. Subaru factory cassette player / radio.Early 2016 snow tires with less than 1000 miles placed on the tires The car was driven and tested for over 500 miles on a trip from Utah to Idaho to Nevada without any issues The State of Idaho title has been misplaced but heaven knows that I have looked for it feverishly. The car is being sold with a bill of sale and a notarized letter that I am the lawful owner and that I purchased this vehicle on Ebay in 2015. I also have the temporary transfer tag from the State of Idaho (back when I hadn't lost the title). Also, some paperwork from the previous owner. This should be enough to get you a title in your State. Please check with the DMV in your State to see if you can get a title with the said information that I have listed.Sorry for losing it. If it turns up, I will add to the listing here but I have ran out of time and need to get the yard cleared before the snow. Exterior: Largely rust free with a few dots around rear fender and bottom of doors that were filed to bare metal and rust proofed. Six to 10 layers of primer were added and I have included some photos of it primered. First coat of Universal Black Gloss has been added and cured. Additional coats would be helpful to add to the appearance. Right now, its ready to go!Everyone that I talked to was surprised with the integrity and the solidness of this car. It has other features such as an optional T-top split roof (this vehicle has a T-Top Split Roof), a spring-loaded hidden door for a side step into the cargo bed, and a spare tire mounted under the hood. The spare tire necessitates an oval shaped air intake breather. The Subaru Brat is missing some of theexterior metal chrome that is readilyavailable online and in other resell locations. The car was sanded and six to 10 coats of base, primer, and finish primer were added depending upon the location on thevehicle. If you see something on thevehicle, it remains. Ifthere some kind of bezel or exterior do-dad that is not present, it doesn't exist with the carThis is a second generation model BRAT that featured the larger 1.8L engine. In 1987 imports to North America ceased but exports to Europe, Australia, Latin America, and New Zealand continued until 1994. This is the end of the 2nd Generation North American imports and is in manyway technologically superior to the earlier models. Interior: The interior appears largely stock with period colors and the interesting instrument cluster of that period Subaru. All of the items were tested including the turn on and off 4wd. The cassette deck is a factory Subaru and it also worked well. History of the Brats:A little background on the Brat (AKA Brumby; Shifter; Targa; etc): The BRAT's lightweight and versatile drivetrain made it a popular choice with both rural buyers and off-roaders. This cars equipped with the four-speed manual transmission and runs in front-wheel drive by default, with two four-wheel drive modes selectable including a low-range option appropriate for off-roading. Only offered outside Japan, the Brat's name was derived from an acronym meaning "Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transport" Developed in Japan in 1977 at the request of the President of Subaru of America, the BRAT was introduced to match the demand for small trucks in the USA, from Toyota, Nissan, and Mazda. Unlike these trucks, all BRATs had four-wheel drive, being developed from the existing Leone Station Wagon Payment: Full Payment is required within 3 Days of the end of the auction.
