Description of 1989 Suzuki Other GTi

New clutch set, ew starter, ew axles, tarter, omplete brake job, une-up, ice interior. Original southern car. It was built then shipped to Alabama. From Alabama it came to Georgia and has been in GA since (verified by Carfax) Car runs out strong but has an idle issue. It makes it hard to warm up and it idles high. Once moving it is deceptively fast. It handles and rides well. With the right motivation and know-how it could be a true star again. Do your homework. It has a base weight of less than 1600lbs. 1.3L four cylinder motor. The G13B engine benefited from Suzuki's motorbike technology as the DOHC engine had a very robust bottom end and revs to a 7,500 rpm red line. An even 100hp @6450 rpm and 83 lb-ft @ 4950 rpm was the result. The torque curve was surprisingly flat offering unexpected flexibility and excellent fuel economy. Aftermarket tuners have been able to double or triple this rating with the addition of a turbocharger. These days the Swift GT/GTi has a bit of cult following but for those in the know it offered the most raw hot hatch thrills. Based on how you drive it can get 35+ mpg. This car needs work. It has a cold start issue that may or may not get sorted before being sold. It has tons of potential. The car is all manual. Windows, oors and power steering are all manual. It does have working A/C/. It runs out strong once going. New clutch set, ull tune-up. New brakes on all wheels. Two new axles. Good tires all the way around. With a little work it could be an extremely fast car. Just add a turbo and you got a super fast car
