Description of 1988 Suzuki samurai

For Sale: 1988 Suzuki Samurai Long Wheel Base- FACTORY - “TITANUK” - 16V, 1.6L EFIONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITYPICTURE GALLERY LINK:https://sheets.shootproof.com/gallery/6761002I even have the hardtop that goes with it!Just under 6,000 miles post complete rebuild - just enough to work out all the details
I am told this is 1 of 12 TRUE long-wheel-base Suzuki Samurai’s in existence in the contiguous lower 48.There may exist may standard wheel base that have been stretched (illegal and dangerous); but not this one - she is the real deal. She was brought to the good ‘ol USA legally from Canada.Reason for selling: Kids going to college and I make just enough $ to not qualify for Gov’t $ and yet too little to actually afford college. No, I don’t expect to get anywhere near what I have into it, out of it. However, one must truly understand this is not your standard Sami. The level of detail, money, and implementation that went into this vehicle goes beyond all reasonable projections. You are welcome to see the rig in person in Orange County, CA. I will deliver this vehicle for a fee within 200 miles each way - pre-paid.
The Story of this rig:About 6 years ago I started my search for the ultimate on and off-road vehicle. I have owned (and still own) some of the following vehicles: 2 - FJ40’s, crew cab Ford and Chevy 4x4’s, 4 runner, 80’s series LanCruiser, 1960 Ford Vintage factory 4x4, et al. So I wanted this vehicle to be something special as well. Thus, my search began. The vehicle had to be capable of the following:-Comfortable on-road with safety as the primary concern; very limited body roll if any-Comfortably seat my family of 5-Have the rear seat removable for “adventuring” into the backcountry for extended periods of time (in order to accommodate the ARB cooler and tool box)-Strong and reliable beyond belief-Off road capable for handle anything we could fit it through, over, around, etc.-A completely functional, road worthy, off-road worthy vehicle.
Provenance:After detailed years of searching, I came across “Titanuk” (spelling altered for originality) - the name given to it by the legendary Steve Kraemer of CalMini out of Bakersfield, CA. This was his personal rig that he would take to shows to market his products for Samurai’s. Steve Kraemer and Cal Mini are known for their outstanding reputation for designing and creating quality parts for the off-road industry. This rig now sits on his suspension and is adorned with his rock sliders and other body protection. I bought the vehicle directly from Steve.
If this wasn’t enough, the vehicle then underwent a complete transformation with the legendary Gary Munck of Petroworks, Fallbrook, CA. For those who do not know, Gary is the premier expert on Suzuki Samurai’s. He is commonly knows as the Godfather of the Samurai. Thus, Gary and I sat down and designed what the rebuild would consist of and the proper protocol for implementation. No expense was spared to achieve our goal. He is responsible for the custom designed and built dash, built and installed new rebuilt motor, all wiring, clutch rebuild, complete wiring and engine swap, fuel cell, gauge cluster and implementation, etc. I have receipts totaling over 35K with Gary alone.
The engine is from a 1995 Suzuki Sidekick. Even though it only had 40K miles on it, I had it completely rebuilt so as to alleviate any potential or future issues.
