Description of 1986 Toyota Cargo Van |
|
You have the rare opportunity to buy whatprobablyis the last BEST example of this vehicle. It spent virtually all of it's life in Florida, as never seen snow.Although this Van is now VINTAGE,it is not a garage queen orcreampuffbut rather more like a Stellar Survivor. I stored and worked on itduring the Winter. When Spring finally came I drove it some for work, few times on fishing trips and to car shows, t's really lots of fun to drive. The exterior has been repainted relatively recently but I don't know when. The metal is straight with a few scratches here and there from normal use. The engine runs strong, he Transmission and Clutch are butter-smooth. I put on new tires and wheels, epaired and replaced most of the running components (pumps, elts, oses, uneup, tc)just after Ibought it. The A/Cblows COLD! The previous owner (in FL) put inaLow-Temp Thermostat so theVan runs cool even on the hottest days but the Heater is marginal when theoutside temps drop below freezing. I didn't drive it in the Winterso this wasn't an issuethat would cause me to change it. In the form of a declaration...The mileage stated is mostcertainly not the actual mileage on the vehicle. When I got theVan, hespeedometer worked erratically and infrequently. Imade no attempt to repair it. I have driven the Vanan estimated2000 miles and only registered about 30 miles on the odometer. Iam lining upmy retirement andmoving out-of-Stateand have too many vehicles so I have to let this go to some fortunateBuyer. THIS WON'T LAST LONG. Someone is going to see the Value and get a REAL NICE VAN...! |
