Description of 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser |
A rare classic and timeless design, this Northwest owned and cared for FJ62 Land Cruiser is in great overall condition! The color is Champagne Metallic, with an all original Brown cloth interior. As you can tell from the photos the paint is not sun-faded, the clear coat is not peeling, or anything even close. I'd rate the interior and exterior at least an 8/10. I've posted several close-up photos of misc. imperfections, and local buyers are certainly welcome to schedule personal and/or professional inspections pre-sale. Bottom line, this is a remarkably maintained 1989 Land Cruiser that has been garaged for most of its life (including now). It is undoubtedly one of the nicest original Land Cruisers in the area. Purchased from the original owner (in Seattle) in the early 90's and kept within our family ever since. The history will show 3 owners per a title change w/in our family about 4-5 years ago. Clean title in-hand, and maintenance records dating back through the original owner! If you know Land Cruisers, you know that the maintenance matters more than the miles. Services other than basic oil changes for the past few years have been performed by Torfab - certainly the most respected Land Cruiser specialist in the NW. Last year Torfab rebuilt the knuckles (close-ups pictured) and also had done a full service with compression test to verify the engine is still in great shape. All the electric "luxury" features that further differentiate the FJ62 from the FJ60 are fully functioning -- Power windows, mirrors, door locks, antenna, and even the digital clock! The AC is also blowing nice & cold, per a recent test on a rare Seattle 90° day. All is stock with exception of the updated Stereo/CD Player with iPod or iPhone compatibility. The like new Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 31" x 10.50" tires are mounted to the original chrome 15" wheels. Please don't confuse any of this to mean the rig will win you any drag races. The 3F-EFI engine will go FOREVER, but understand that you'll be moving at a pace that'll allow plenty of gawkers to get a good look at you...and you will get a lot of looks! The truck is very solid and starts up instantly every time, drives straight and smooth, and stops w/o a squeak, a pull, or even any pulsing. Obviously this rig has NOT been a "mudder" or anything of the sort. For the past 23+ years that we've owned it the only "off road" use has been via ski trips and maybe a few Christmas tree hunts on a snowy fire service road. Interior notes: There are a few cracks in the driver's seat (as pictured) but otherwise the all-original interior is in excellent shape! No dash cracks, clean headliner, clean carpet. All inspections are welcome PRIOR to auction end. Sold as-is, with no warranty expressed, written, or implied. $500 Deposit due w/in 24 hours or I reserve the right to re-list or sell to the next highest bidder. Full funds are due within 3 days via Bank wire transfer or cash only. No PayPal! Any shipping and/or local pick-up the responsibility of the buyer. Will sell within the U.S. only. Bidders with little or no history must contact me prior to bidding PLEASE BE SERIOUS WHEN BIDDING AND DON’T BID IF YOU CAN'T PAY CASH WITHIN 3 DAYS. |
