BRIEF DESCRIPTION: 1971 Corona, original Az car, 1 family owned till just recently when we aquired it. It looks like the original paint and the car is almost totally rust free, and would be if someone had not let water sit inside the trunk area. This car was originally purchased here in Tucson at Precision Toyota, which is still in business today. Car also comes with a pile of receipts and invoices from maintaince and repairs done as far back as the early 80s. Car runs and drives great, nothing really major to report there. Maybe could use a tune up soon, but really a solid nice unmolested Corona 2dr you rarely see anymore. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition that are still affordable to most buyers.
DRIVETRAIN: the motor sounds decent, and no smoke. Trans feels good too as does the rearend. Starts with the key like normal and can be driven as a daily just the way you see it. These motors are known for their reliability and power for their time. The automatic trans was just gone thru too a few months ago.
INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the interior needs work, but again it depends on how rustic or restored you want it. As is its a fine driver but Az has made it a little dry and hard in areas. Carpets nice. All the gauges and interior lights work too, as does the radio ! Back seat is also a partial fold down thru the trunk area. EXTERIOR: paint appears to be the original baby blue with vinyl top. We checked all around the top and again, the desert climate and lack of rain and moisture, we cant find any real soft or crunchy or bubble spots under the top, Im pretty sure its safe to say its in nice shape as well. Front windshield is cracked, rest of the glass is ok. Precision Toyota plaque still on the trunk, pretty cool. Cars been bumped on the front a shade, you can see in the pics and obviously in the rear at least once. Nothing major, but in case you missed it. Trunk under the mat got most of the rust, but didnt see any holes in the trunk pan Just the RR lower drop off. Rest of the body is in amazing shape front to back for its age. SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal from what I can see .. but old. Works okay as is, and well kept up,. but its a 40 yr old car, it may need shocks or bushings in the future. Tires in nice shape, spare and jack stuff are in the trunk. Minimal rust under the car, making taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
There you have it, probably The BEST represented Toys on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
