Description of 1983 Toyota Celica GT-S |
I just don't have time to work on this third gen celica, but someone is going to get a great deal on an under appreciated classic sports car! The third gen celica was the last generation of the rear wheel drive celica's. The GT-S model stands out because it had a suspension system designed by Lotus that gave this car amazing handling, even by todays standards. The moment you enter this car everything screams sports cars, including the sport seats. (These were considered some of the best seats of their day, superior to--and more expensive than--the benchmark Recaros.)An immensely likable car, the Toyota Celica is fast and fun to drive in a way that harks back to more traditional sports cars. This car runs great, but could use help in the looks department. The engine runs great and has had the following replaced in the last few years: Full steering rack and pump, new starter, exhaust and performance headers. (These do make a nice performance bump, but in CA you will need to replace these to pass smog) All 4 shocks have been repalced, and the tires have less than 500 miles on them and included a new alignment. The exterior has fading clear coat, a number of nicks, and dents on the rear qtr panel that should pop out. The interior needs some dash parts, but I will include both driver and passenger front seats and rear seats in great condition! Open to in person inspection - this car is otherwise sold as is |
