Description of 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser |
Selling a 1988 Toyota Landcruiser FJ62 4x4 that has no rot or body rust (west/southwest vehicle) Runs and drives but the headgasket went on it 2 months ago and the #3 and #4 cylinders are not firing. It was determined that the head gasket between the 2 cylinders blew out with no water getting into the oil or overheating. It is a fairly easy fix with a new head gasket and head bolts but I do not want to tackle it or have time for it now. Paint is 95% original (faded from the sun) with some minor areas of touch up over the years along with an area on the front of the hood that had numerous stone chips sanded down and primed. Everything works, 4x4 operates as it should, windows/locks work, no radio. Rain gutters are very nice with no rust also. Has 316k on it but did have a lot of parts and work done on it the last few years.. May 2015: New front rotors, calipers, pads New rear drums, wheel cylinders, shoes New radiator Hoses Front wheel bearings Etc. Total bill was $1790 July 2009: New master cylinder Front wheel bearing repack New alternator Drivers side window regulator Hard to find in this nice shape, rusty old hunks are going for $3000, perfect ones are $15000-$25000 IF you bid and buy, make sure you have cleared the purchase first with your significant other, banker, father, mother, brother, sister, neighbor, media, and anyone else that might have issue with your purchase! I am flexible on the pickup dates/days but it is your responsibility to arrange for it to be picked up. Video of it running today: https://youtu.be/L4sj-FB4Fu0 Selling a very nice 1989 Toyota FJ62 Landcruiser 4x4 with the automatic transmission.. Original west coast/SW vehicle that has no rust and the paint is original. A small area on the drivers side rear quarter was keyed and had to be sanded down and touched up. Motor/trans/front birfields were rebuilt at around 200,000 miles and now has about 275K on it. If you are reading this, you know that in PERFECT shape, they go for upwards of $20,000. This one is not perfect but is in very nice original condition. It has no leaks, even the front axle birfields are dry without leakage. Some features, good and bad:NEW tires last year Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 235 75r15 ALL 4 ARE BRAND NEW, EVEN THE SPARENewer batteryDrivers side rocker chrome is not on it but is included, had to buy new clips for it and they did not arrive yet.
