BJ40 Restoration | | | Complete frame-off restoration! The donor vehicle was a 1977 BJ40 Toyota Landcruiser with only 1 owner and 29,000 km. The engine still has the factory original B Diesel sticker. Vehicle was purchased from an elderly gentleman. I was looking for a diesel cruiser with low miles, solid original floor, and strong frame. That’s exactly what I got. I have the documentation from the previous owner that will go with the sale. The restoration took three months to complete, with three guys working on the vehicle full-time. The vehicle was taken down to the frame and stripped to bare metal. From there it received a top-notch restoration. Every piece of this BJ40 has been touched, and only the highest quality original Toyota OEM parts were used. Every nut and bolt has been replaced. Every effort was made to make this car original, from the Factory correct Toyota Dune Biege Paint Code 416, to the color and stitching of the seats, to the wheels. The Firestone tires still have the stickers and knobs on them. Custom molded floor mats were made for both the front and rear of the Land Cruiser. Buyer will receive a flash drive of all the before pictures and the pictures taken during the restoration at every stage up until assembly. Some of the restoration pictures are below. Not only is this the diesel version of the FJ40, which Toyota never imported into the US, it will average at about 30-35mpg. These bullet proof engines will last forever and this is arguably the greatest 4x4 offroad vehicle ever created. This is your chance to own a piece of history. As you can see in the pictures, this BJ40 looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. Clean Delaware title in my name. I’m located about 45 minutes from Philadelphia and I encourage interested buyers to come see this dream cruiser for yourself. Feel free to call me on my cell at 302-565-4702. I can facilitate with shipping world-wide. There is a similar diesel BJ40 for sale on here for $65k. |
