Description of 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser |
Watch the detailed video of this Toyota FJ55 Land Cruiser: https://youtu.be/kCaUTqXulzQ For Sale is my 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55. This 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 is a 4x4/4wd. It is notorious for its reliability and its durability. FJ55s are known to collectors as the "iron pig." The model year 1973 is the last year Toyota offered the indestructible 3 speed manual transmission. These Toyota FJ55 Land Cruisers are very hard to come by and vintage 4x4s are increasing tremendously in price. I encourage all serious customers to view and test drive this Land Cruiser (if in San Diego) because it is truly one a kind. This Land Cruiser has been restored and drives unbelievably well. This FJ55 has spent most of its life in Dallas, Texas. Now in my possession, here, in San Diego. It shows very little rust and most rust has been repaired. As of right now, it is my daily driver, yes that's how good it drives, and can no longer own it, unfortunately, because I got a new job that is far from my house. This is still an original FJ55 with the original engine. Work that has been done: - Engine Rebuilt (A lot of new parts way too much to list) - Professional prepped primed painted and buffed - Bed liner applied to the interior floor - Reupholstered headliner seats and door panels - New exhaust pipe - New muffler - New plugs - New wires - After market A/C unit (Not working) - New fuel tank Non-OEM got a larger plastic tank so it will last forever - New Spark Plugs - New Distributor Condenser and Contact Set - New Oil Filter - New Fuel Filter - New Goodyear Workhorse M+S 7.00-15 tires - New Factory Steel Wheels and Hub caps - New 10,000 Pound Winch - Front and rear heaters work - New OEM badges - After Steel rear and front bumpers - New Battery And more that's all I can think of off the top of my head. All the hard work has been done and it drives unbelievably well. It is not in perfect condition only a few small things known that could use work: - Temperature and oil gauge does not work - Fuel gauge isn't accurate - Rear window works intermittently - Door handle is loose on driver's side - Small tear in front bench seat - Front Passenger side door is hard to shut and lock (still shuts and locks though) - Very small spider crack on driver's side door - Iaccidentallybroke the rear view mirror in the car when taking photos (Head hit the mirror panel when I was taking photos of interior. - Could use new brake pads - Minor rust - Small dent front bumper That's it! Most of it is small and any mechanic can fix any of these issues. I took these all into consideration when establishing the price. Recently (within 300 miles):- Changed the Fuel Tank- New Oil Filter- New Spark Plugs- New Distributor and Condenser Set- Changed Oil- New Fuel Filter |
