Description of 1970 Toyota Corona |
This car came from a showroom in Tucson, Arizona in 2002 and has been under a cover, in a subterranean garage, and in my possession since then. Original everything, including factory a/c but that does have a leak. Giving the bad news first because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this car but that leak. Minty clean. Put new nubby carpet just like the original had. Absolutely all original Toyota parts wherever possible thanks in large part to Carlyn Dinkler. If you own a Corona you know him too. I'm moving to Florida and this car would not like it down on the farm so I am looking for a new owner who might even drive him more than I have. My daily driver was his twin brother whom I sold last week after putting over 500k on him over the 35 years I owned him. If you're reading this and live in LA area then you probably have seen my cars on the street or at the JCCS or ToyotaFest. The original 3RC engine only had 50k miles on in it when I purchased the car in 2002, and I haven't even put another 3k miles on it since. Really was just my "show car" since I drove the other one exclusively. Take good care of these cars and I've got the proof that they can last 50 years -- which is how old they'll be in 2020. So celebrate 50 years with this gorgeous little classic and let's make a deal. I guarantee you're not gonna find another Corona like this for this price. I'm in Sherman Oaks, CA and am happy to meet you anywhere in the area. Please check the pix and let me know if you've got questions or want more pix. Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. Serious inquiries only please. Peace. |
