Description of 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser Troop Carrier

My Troop Carrier is for sale. "The Beast" is in very very good shape. Spent north of $140 k on this truck and now it's time to pay for college. I know I can't get that investment back...(and in retrospect... augh) but if you want something that is in remarkable shape for it's age - and recipient of a great deal of attention this is your truck. it is unstoppable and gets more attention at shows and around than a new Husky puppy.

So the gas engine was swapped with this new engine – truck thus converted to Diesel, New oilpan, alternator, starter (2013) There are now about 50,000 miles on this engine. Truck is essentially an HJ 47 having started life as an FJ 45

Truck repaired and rust proofed 2018, touch up welding.

Estimated total miles on truck 250,000+ Originally from the Outback – in Aus.

Brought to the US around 2010. Body off resto in 2012-2013. 50k miles driven since then. Truck is used frequently in short trips. Truck from Aus was bone dry and pretty much rust free - as it was a good resto candidate - that is exactly what we did.
