Description of 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser Troop Carrier |
My Troop Carrier is for sale. "The Beast" is in very very good shape. Spent north of $140 k on this truck and now it's time to pay for college. I know I can't get that investment back...(and in retrospect... augh) but if you want something that is in remarkable shape for it's age - and recipient of a great deal of attention this is your truck. it is unstoppable and gets more attention at shows and around than a new Husky puppy. ARB 4” lift Pneumatic ARB Locker Hi Lift Jack Reinforced Spare Hanger New Tires (300 miles ago) New Exhaust (2018) Ball joints (2016) Batteries (2 - one house one starting) Snorkle (2013) Leather ((Baseball Mitt Type) aftermarket seats. Body off restoration – 2012-2013 New wheels – 2012 Second diesel tank – 2012 – capacity – 38 gallons – total (new and old) New headliner – 2012 Heavy Duty Hitch, ball 12,000 Warn winch – with synthetic rope ARB 12v frig Separate parts include: engine block heater, injector, heater plug etc... Also Truck Cover Bedliner throughout truck - 2012 New Oldstock Engine from 1983 – 2H – (installed in engine swap 2013) So the gas engine was swapped with this new engine – truck thus converted to Diesel, New oilpan, alternator, starter (2013) There are now about 50,000 miles on this engine. Truck is essentially an HJ 47 having started life as an FJ 45 Truck outside repainted 2015 Truck repaired and rust proofed 2018, touch up welding. Estimated total miles on truck 250,000+ Originally from the Outback – in Aus. Brought to the US around 2010. Body off resto in 2012-2013. 50k miles driven since then. Truck is used frequently in short trips. Truck from Aus was bone dry and pretty much rust free - as it was a good resto candidate - that is exactly what we did. Will consider PARTIAL trade for Rubicon or Sahara with less than 50k miles. Please... I know that these are cult items... I know that they're cool. But please, I'm very busy working if you reach out please be interested in buying not chatting. |
