Description of 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser |
Hello you guys,,,,,,,,,,,,I am selling my 1979 BJ41 / 2B DIESEL Toyota Land Cruiser VIN NUMBER: BJ41001372 /which I imported from Japan. Ithas clear title, registeredand ready to go.Toyota never imported these Diesels to our domestic market. The BJ41 was a JDM ( Japanese Domestic Market Only )as noted by the RHD, the chromeBEZELand chrome front BUMPER ).The Japanese kept these creationsfor themselves. They are excellent Land Cruisers, the best in the world in my opinion and I have owned many. The 2B dieselis rated one of Toyota's top 10 engines of all time. Mine has FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, 4 speed manual transmission, POWER STEERING, Hi-Lo 4 wheel drive. The color is Toyota Factory Olive / paint code 653. PLEASE NOTE: The Cruiser was painted by the previous owner in Japan. The Paint Job is in very good condition but some fading and color match not perfect in a few areasbut you can see from the photo's that the cruiser shows nicely. Good enough to be entered into any local car show. Not only good looking but extremely rare to see them in the United States. PLEASE NOTE: Do NOT be worried about parts for this Land Cruiser. I have access to all parts and many parts come from right here in the United States. The condition of this cruiser is excellent so I do not think any buyer will have any issues for a long time. As mentioned, the 2B diesel engine in this cruiser is in incredible condition, has plenty of power, does not blow anywhite smoke, NO blue gray smoke and just a small amount of black smoke which is normal. Here are a list of things that were done to the cruiser by me and the previous owner in Japan. Please Note: I am sorry for error on miles / kilometers but have corrected it. Above are accurate calculations. Thanks. D << ALL FLUIDS JUST CHANGED OUT ( oil, transmission, transfer case, front and rear differentials, coolant ) << COMPRESSION just done ( #1 = 470 psi / #2 = 430 psi / #3 = 480 psi / #4 = 450 psi ) Please note that 500 psi is perfect / new. << All surface rustjustprofessional fixed and in perfect condition. << Paint blended where needed. Looksvery good. << Electric Power Steering installed. << Factory Air Conditioning blows very cold. << New BFGOODRICH 31 / 10.5 / 15 ALL TERRAIN x 5 << New FACTORY WHEELS and CAPS from Cool Cruisers in Texas and Specter Off Road in Calif. << Newly restored front and rear SEATS. << ALL NEW badges ( front, rear and sides ) << Undercarriage sprayed with rust protection << Cruiser comes with original mirrors, original rear bumperettes which will be sent to winning bidder. << All receipts of work that I did will be sent to winning bidder. << Please note that I have ordered brand new hood pads x 4. You can see that 2 are missing under the hood. No worries, buyer will receive all 4 new ones. Any questions please let me know and I will post for others to see and read. The Land Cruiser is in excellent condition. I am sure that any buyer will be satisfied with its look, its mechanical condition and its ruggedness. These are very tough cruisers. The Japanese take excellent care of their Land Cruisers. This one was garaged its whole life, evidenced by the incredible rust free condition of the body, undercarriage and frame. I have attached a video letting you guys hear idle, see overall condition and performance on the road. I have collected over 40 Land Cruisers, many of them diesel imports from Japan ( The BJ40, 41, 42, 44 and 46 ). I have a BJ46 that I drive full time and after owning the diesels I am convinced that they are the best choice for any Land Cruiser owner. It'salso nice to have factory AC.Mine has POWER STEERING which makes driving ita lot easier.Parts are easily available ( some parts I get from the famed WWW.SOR.COM in California ). Please send along questions. I have been around a while, I know these cruisers well and am more than happy to assist wherever needed. Thosein California thinking of buying the cruiser please send me anote and I will sendalong information so that getting it registered and titled in California will be easier. It currently is registered and titled in South Dakota and has a year left on the registration. Thanks, Dave ( See video below ) https://youtu.be/cDIqFjkGVAYVIDEO OF THE LAND CRUISER / IDLE AND PERFORMANCE. Please note: I can't give the cruiser away but based on the rarity and the overall mechanical and bodycondition I think I have priced it fairly. Please feel free to make a reasonable offer though. I am somewhat open to some negotiation. Rare bird though so can't come down too much. Thanks. D Any additional pics that you need, lemmie know. Will get them to you. Also feel free to send along a certified Auto Mechanic ( must be mobile as I am not able to take the cruiser anywhere to be inspected ), must be licensed and certified to check out the condition of the cruiser. |
