Description of 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 |
This 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser is largely original and has been a reliable daily driver since I purchased the truck in 2010. The mileage is pretty low at just over 187k miles. Since moving to Portland in 2011 all maintenance has been completed by renowned Land Cruiser specialists Landcruiser NW including recent replacement of the tie rods, brake system overhaul (calipers, rotors, drums, shoes, pads, and brake lines replaced), and replacement of theaxle seals and e-brake. Here are some highlights of the truck:
The truck was originally gray before the previous owner had it repainted white in 2006. Around this time the previous owner was involved in an accident which resulted in the rear bumper and tailgate being replaced. The condition and fit of the replacement parts is great and look as though they could be original to the truck. As you can see in the pictures there are some scuffs and chips in the paint, mostly concentrated around the hood. The left rocker panel and both rear wheel wells were replaced by the previous owner due to corrosion, but there is a small amount of rust that remains around the rear fender lips and lower doors. There is a minor oil leak.According to LCNW is likely from an older oil pan gasket. The driver's seat has some tears in the leather in the normal FJ trouble areas. The power windows work, but the power door locks don't always work that well. While the antenna raises and lowers properly, the receiver portion of the radio isinoperable. Over the last 8 years my family andI have really enjoyed this truck and we're sad to see it go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
