This Texas born 1983 FJ40 Survivor is a beautiful example of a stock unrestored truck wearing mostly original paint. The truckwas rustproofed when it was new inJuly of 1983.Having always been garaged, the truck remains in excellent condition with minimal defects. Under the hood is the original engine 2F with factory emissions. Original transmission with 3.70 gears, stock suspension, axles, etc. Correct OEM white spoke wheels. It’s widely reported that only about three hundred FJ40‘s were imported to the USA in 1983 which was the last year the FJ40 was available in the United States. Of those 300, it’s estimated that 50 or so had factory power steering and air conditioning. Of those 50, a few had wing windows which normally would have been reserved for non-USA trucks. The legend goes that Toyota was grabbing whatever parts were available to fulfill the orders for the U.S. in 1983. This is one of those trucks with all of the aforementioned attributes. These trucks are investment grade FJ40's you can enjoy and will continue to appreciate! Highlights:
