Non conventional, non-U.S. market VIN is HZJ73-0005145. This is a JDM HZJ73 ZX Land Cruiser that comes with clean and clear U.S. title and has been legally imported into the U.S. under the 25 year exemption with the EPA and DOT, with Customs duties paid. If you know 70-series Land Cruisers then you know this is one of the most desirable off-road vehicles you can find. Many consider it better than the Mercedes G-Wagen and the Land Rover Defender. The Toyota 1HZ 4.2 Liter inline 6 cylinder Diesel engine is revered for its simplicity and durability all over the world. Overall this JDM HZJ73 is in good condition with a few cosmetic issues that do not detract from its capability as a daily driver and incredibly competent off-roader. It has factory electric front and rear differential locks, factory PTO winch, 24-volt electrical system, factory cold-weather package, (which includes upgraded starter and battery cables as well as fuel heater) factory suspension seats, factory radio and cassette player head unit with controls for CD changer, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, and the coveted FRP removable hardtop that makes it like its predecessor, the FJ40. It has the factory full roll cage option with rear 3-point seat belts for safety. It comes with 17 pages of service records from Japan and most recently had the timing belt replaced at around 200,000 km. It has 5 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires that are very new. The seats upholstery and interior carpeting in are in excellent condition. The B-pillar trim panels are a bit scraped up and scratched from people getting in and out of the rear seats, I suspect. That is really the only interior blemishing other than a small tear in the headliner in the rear. I recently had an incident on an icy mountain forest road and ran into a fence post. This tore part of the right front fender flare off the fender and bent the front bumper and bumper over-rider/brushguard. See photo for details. The windshield frame has some corrosion at its base as all 73 model 70 series Land Cruisers eventually do, but no other rust. The frame is very clean, with no corrosion, as is the entire undercarriage. The PTO winch needs a shear pin replaced. Replacement parts for the fender bender and the windshield frame can be found for less than $1500 total, so the pricing of this represents an opportunity for some value if you are into doing your own work as many Land Cruiser aficionados and owners do. The truck runs and drives excellent. The air conditioning works well, the heat works well, it fires right up in all kinds of weather-even at 7,000 ft. elevation. I would drive it anywhere right now. As of today it has 212,637 km (131,834 miles) on the odometer. I use it as a daily driver, so that number will increase some. Make an offer. Fly in and drive it home, or have a shipper pick it up, I will work with you. Delivery for a fee may be available depending on location. Check with me.
