This beautiful, and highly popular, 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 Diesel has been excellently restored to its original quality. It has been upgraded with a 3B Series 3500cc Toyota 4 cylinder diesel Inline engine, which is in great running order. The car received a repaint in its original color of Mustard Yellow, which closely resembles tangerine/orange. The interior has been freshly reupholstered as well, and both in and out, the vehicle is in excellent shape! This BJ40 comes with the original three person front seats and the larger rear two person jump seats for a total passenger capacity of seven people. It sports a new set of tires all around, which are mounted on custom style rims, including the spare. The halogen headlamps are brand new also. Installed on each bumper are the OEM bumper rubber knobs and rear Toyota mud flaps. The roof rack and ladder are original to the car, which is extremely rare and very hard to find. The underbody is in excellent shape and the suspension has been maintained to its original standards and is stable and true at any cruising speed. The car also received new drum brakes, a new battery and was recently serviced. There is no rust on this vehicle and all panels have been upgraded with higher gage metal using the original Toyota factory molds which are still in use in CR. The car originated from Costa Rica. In conclusion, this gorgeous BJ40 is in excellent shape and a real head turner! The diesel models are very rare in the US and even harder to find in this outstanding condition!
