Description of 1970 Triumph Spitfire |
1970 Triumph Spitfire MK3 with a Toyota 3T 1.8 engine, Toyota 5spd, dual Weber carbs and a header.Full custom exhaust in great shape too that is not loud and looks like a factory system. The swap was done a little over 16 years ago and looks factory. Runs, drives, shifts andstops great. This is a nice clean swap with a good amount time, effort and money spent on it. We drove this car all summer and have enjoyed it for a long time. It’s on the road now, registered and insured driven daily. We freshened it upquite a bit this year with many new parts too. New parts:
Rock solid body and frame. No rust anywhere. It’s a good solid car top to bottom. Road manners are really good andit’s an absolute blast to drive. Everybody loves it when they see it! Big smiles and always a huge thumbs up from allages. Tons of fun and excitement!! It never left us stranded and has always been super dependable. Just a great littleaffordable and reliable fun car that won’t break the bank. Looks expensive and grabs attention over the real expensivecars. We’ve been to several car shows, cruise nights and cruises where this car gets more attention than the six figureexotics and muscle cars! People rush to it with big smiles and then they see the Toyota conversion and eyes bug outof their heads with more excitement. It really is a cool little car and the Toyota power plant /tranny make it over the top cool, plus obviously way more dependable.
