Description of 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser lX |
Vehicle Details 1982 BJ42 LX 1 of roughly 500 LX diesels made from 1982-1984 for the Australian market. I believe there to be at most 5 LX models in the USA. 182,000KM on the odometer, she gets around 25mpg, runs great, and goes 60mph on the highway comfortably. I have owned this Land Cruiser for a little over a year, I bought it from a former Land Cruiser importer out of Florida. The previous owner had this vehicle for 15+ years. I am wanting to sell this to purchase a troop carrier land cruiser. I’ve put on roughly 2,500 miles since owning the vehicle, and several multiple hundred-mile trips. She is cross-country worthy. LX notably has triple windshield wipers, sliding rear passenger windows, and zebra-style seats. The rear seats are forward-facing. This LX has every option available. The paint color is 681 John Deere green, paint condition is okay not perfect. The engine has the mighty 3B (3.4L) 4-cylinder diesel which are known to be million-mile motors that were not available in the USA. eBay motors recommended put all zeros for the vin number since it never came with 17 digits. The vin is BJ42003408 The headlights are City Racer brand, I do have the original lights in a box. The front of the hood has a decent amount of rust, but the rest of the body is very solid. I scraped back some of the hood paint where the rust was and sprayed primer and John Deere original green paint on it so it wouldn’t decay further. 2 of the seatbelt clips for the rear seats will need fixed, they are missing the clip mechanism. One of the fog lights do not work, I haven’t tried messing with it. I replaced both bulbs so it most likely will need a new section of wire soldered in. The wires are 40 years old at this point. I uploaded several photos but eBay has a limit, if you require more photos please contact me. I recommend viewing all photos and asking questions before purchasing any vehicle. |
