Description of 1985 Toyota Pickup DLX

Selling my very original, and low mileage one owner 1985 Toyota 4x4 pickup truck. The truck is a DLX model equipped with the factory white optional SR5 styled steel sport wheels, and SR5 decals This truck is by far a cut above the oh so typical Toyota pickup. This particular truck has 78k original miles, and mostly original paint with only some panels having had paint work done in the past. One fender, and complete bed have had paint work done. Truck retains 100% of its original body panels, and has minor dings and scratches only. Inside of bed is beautiful, this has never been a work truck. It’s pretty difficult to find specimens of this quality that are largely unrestored. Pay special attention to the under hood/engine photos, that is as built, not restored. You’ll notice all the clamps and pieces that came in the gold cadmium color still retain it. This is a no rust example (including chassis) in very remarkable condition.This was a high desert area pickup since new. There is a minor accident listed on the auto check report. It’s important to know this truck sustained zero damage at the accident listed. A parked car was bumped with a push bar that was previously installed on the truck. The push bar is no longer on the truck as you can tell, original bumper and end caps are though.
Inside the truck the interior is still in excellent condition over all. This is a vinyl bench seat pickup with factory rubber floors. No carpet to get dirty in this one. All gauges and accessories work as they should. The truck was never equipped with a factory radio (note the plug where the antenna would have been), it is equipped with a modern Bluetooth radio now.No a/c on this one, heat works great.
Mechanically the truck is equipped with the legendary 22R backed by 5 speed manual transmission and high/low transfer case. This is the last year of factory straight axle front end, and it also has factory Aisin manual locking hubs. The 4wd works exactly as it should, and the truck has overall great road manners. It starts, stops, drives, and brakes exactly like it should. All maintenance is up to date, and the truck has brand new Bridgestone all terrain tires. The battery is also new. The only non factory items on the truck are the aftermarket alarm, stereo, and the period correct smittybuilt roll bar with KC lights (lights not wired).You’ll notice niceties like factory wheel center caps, bumper end cap plugs, mud flaps etc are all still in place. It’s truly an unmolested rig, the little things make all the difference in the world.
