1987 Supra Hatchback with removable Sport Roof. (Automatic, non-turbo) I purchased this car as a project and I have taken it as far as I can. Now it's time for the new owner to take it over and on to the next level. This is a great project car that gets a lot of attention. The car runs and drives. (see the video in the gallery and notes below for more details). WHAT'S BEEN DONE: - Several electrical issues fixed - Almost-new tires (80% tread left) - NEW battery - NEW spark plugs - NEW plug wires - NEW vacuum hoses - NEW distributor cap - NEW heater hose - NEW alternator - NEW muffler WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE: - There are 2 leaks; the valve cover gasket and something near the rear main. (Not sure if it is the rear main seal or something dripping down on it) - The idle fluctuates up and down when in park. Smooths out in drive. (Probably a sensor or vacuum issue) - Initial acceleration is sluggish - Needs more wiring work - The gas gauge is not working - Needs brakes - Needs paint - Miscellaneous interior plastic pieces need installing or replacing When I purchased the car, it would not start and the lights didn't work. It's now running and driving and the lights are working. This was a Texas car and I have not seen any rust to worry about.
